Ti Korea Supports Successful Delivery of Maersk’s First 93K VLAC

HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries has successfully delivered Jane Mærsk (Hull No. H8264), the first of a series of ten 93,000 m³ Very Large Ammonia Carriers (VLACs) ordered by Maersk.

The vessel was named in Mokpo, South Korea, on June 23, 2026, marking an important milestone in Maersk’s expansion into the transportation of liquefied ammonia. With a cargo capacity of approximately 93,000 m³, Jane Mærsk is designed to carry both liquefied ammonia and LPG, providing operational flexibility for evolving energy markets.

Ti Korea carried out the cargo tank insulation works for the vessel as part of the newbuilding project. The successful delivery of the first vessel represents an important milestone for Ti Korea, as the company is scheduled to continue providing cargo tank insulation for the remaining vessels in the series.
